Launched in 2008, the Mauritius Business Excellence Award competition aims to motivate local enterprises to continually improve their way of doing business through the adoption of sound business practices. The competition was open to all businesses in agriculture, tourism and other services sector.
Sik Yuen stated that the competition has attracted around 400 enterprises this year. “Fifty per cent of the participants are in the Small Enterprises category, showing their commitment to move up the ladder,” said the minister.
“It is important to recognise excellence by awarding those who have adopted the best business practices,” he highlighted.
Certificates were awarded to the winners in the three main categories.
