Following the success of the Infotech fair last year, the National Computer Board will organise the second edition of the ‘ICT expo 2011’ fair on August 20 and 21 at Rivière du Rempart.
The fair will kick off on Saturday and will be open from noon to 7 pm and from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. Entrance is free.
The first ICT fair was organised at Rivière des Anguilles on August 6 and 7.
The objective of such regional exhibitions is to raise public awareness about emerging technologies and to make information and communication technology more accessible.
Hence the fair will enable visitors to discover potential uses and applications of ICT tools and exploit the numerous opportunities offered by ICT solutions at individual and business levels.
The exhibition comprises three parts. The first part will focus on the promotion of specialised IT courses.
The second part will revolve around business efficiency through use of IT tools. There will also be demonstrations to introduce visitors to online public services.
