Omnicane Ltd., a Mauritian sugar producer with interests in energy, advanced to the highest in a month after saying its loss narrowed in the second quarter.
The stock gained 1 rupee, or 1.4 percent, to 72.50 rupees by 11:25 a.m. in Port Louis, the capital, the strongest intraday level since July 14.
The loss narrowed to 56.8 million rupees ($2 million) in the three months through June compared with 176.5 million rupees a year earlier, Omnicane said in a statement released after the market’s close yesterday
