During this working session, Ben Rommaldawo, the Executive Assistant Manager of La Pirogue and spokesman of the forces of the place showed that the population of Flic en Flac is proud and ecstatic to see the idea of hosting an event such as the Carnival of Flic en Flac. He also expressed the interest that the people of this seaside resort on the beautification of the area.
Among those present were also representatives of the hotels which Maradiva, Sands Resorts, the Village Council, and several restaurants, including the Twins and the Fish Garden Coco. Carnival organizers of Flic en Flac in the west of Mauritius, Remy Vachet VIP Productions and Events Ltd organize, were also the party to better explain the staging of the carnival.
In the same vein, President and Director of the MTPA, Mr Robert Desvaux and Dr. Karl Mootoosamy, also stressed the importance of participation of villagers in the micro to promote the various resorts of Mauritius to boost the tourism industry. This type of mobilization at the regional scale is also provided for Mahebourg and Grand Bay, among others.
This initiative is part of the new promotional approach of the MTPA to highlight the different resorts of Mauritius through the creation of micro like the Carnival of Flic en Flac, the regatta Beach wear and Mahebourg Show Grand Bay.
Furthermore, this carnival of Flic en Flac is closely watched by the locals who have offered ideas for decorating their homes. Operations are also displays planned by merchants of Flic en Flac.
