Sugar: Mauritian Expertise Wanted

The MCIA is actively working on a report on the know-how for the Mauritian sugarcane industry in the region.

The Mauritian expertise in the production of cane is requested by several countries. Reunion, Côte d'Ivoire, Vietnam, Madagascar and Pakistan are, in fact, informed the Mauritian expertise in this area. A report on this subject is currently being prepared by the Mauritius Cane Industry Authority (MCIA) to meet the aspirations of the sugar producers in these countries.

Cooperation agreements will be signed soon with these countries, said Vinod Boyjonauth CEO the MCIA. He also specified that Mauritius has a lot to offer in terms of expertise in the sugarcane industry.

Vinod Boyjonauth announced that a report in this regard will be made public at the end of the month. The MCIA, he said, did everything to boost sugarcane industry, thanks to agreements to be signed with these countries
