32nd Tour of Mauritius: Topography that Promises..
The 32 th edition of the Tour of the Island cyclist takes off on Tuesday at noon with a race against the clock by teams along 13.4 kilometers Sorèze.

At first glance, one could say that this year, the course is more difficult than in previous years but the set of participants is much less survey. It is counted, in fact, that three foreign teams, the South Africans Ownsurance-V Office, the selection of Seychelles and training Reunion Port Pedals Association.

The inaugural team time trial should not be determining the extent that it is no longer than 13.4 km (two laps of Sorèze). A priori, the differences should not be significant. After that, each step has its challenges and the difficulty level will grow. The two e step will take place tomorrow between Port Louis and Goodlands, will not involve great difficulties but in the end, there will still be a succession of false flat amount and coast Pont Bon Dieu.

On Thursday, the three e stage, which will start from Curepipe to come back, take the pack in the east and southeast of the island. Attempts to escape are likely many in the first half of the long journey of 110 km but again, this is the last part to be complicated to manage. Reference is made ??to the long climb to the highway from Plaine Magnien to Curepipe.

The day Friday will be negotiated with caution. In the morning (8:00) is provided the individual against the clock between Ferney and Savannah in the south. A 19.3 km route that will not be easy especially for those who have not mastered the exercise alone. Then in the afternoon (14 hours), up to the 5 th stage of the circuit Sorèze. Riders must make seven turns of said circuit for a total distance of 46.9 km. This step may seem short but it does not mean it will be easy. Because this circuit is very technical and it is easy to get trapped. Vigilance will be key!

The 6 th step scheduled for Saturday will not be easy either. 96.8 km long, it will take place mainly in the north and east. The start and finish will be judged before the Anjalay-Coopen stadium in Belle Vue. The main difficulties will be placed in the first half of the course. This is the rise of Congomah (40 km) and the Water-Boiled (43 km). Those who have leaked early in the race will be required to demonstrate a good race management for not getting back in the long flat part must be covered until the finish line.

Efforts could also pay at the 7 th and final stage will take place Sunday. This last step may well be the magistrate of the 32 th edition given its topography. After the departure gave Grand River North West, the difficulties will succeed. There will first rise Wood Skunk and a first pass through the neck of Chamarel, then rising before Morne second ascent of Chamarel and face the dreaded neck Plaine Champagne. It will then forty kilometers before reaching the finish line in front of the Plaza in Rose Hill. The suspense will remain full until this final stage.

Regarding the favorites to win, no doubt that the Mauritian Yannick Lincoln, the defending champion, will be best placed. He should be wary of South African Alan Gordon who had shown great provisions in the mountains last year. Moreover, his team Ownsurance-V Office, is very homogeneous. In addition, his teammates and him are used in our national tour.

Reunion side, it will take with Etienne Germain has been a stage winner in the past and who also won the Criterium de St Antoine early in the season during a visit to the Port Pedals Association home.

There will also be an opportunity to discover Chritiaan Mostert, South African runner who evolve the colors of UCRH-Engen who is said to possess qualities climber.
