"Through this competition, we want to recognize the work of NGOs," said Ravin Dajee, CEO of Barclays Bank . The bank has launched a contest Thursday, September 19, Barclays Colours of Life Award : a national competition of social projects focusing on education, socio-economic development, the fight against social evils, welfare (including health and leisure) and the environment.
The deadline for registration is October 31 NGOs. And no limit will be imposed on the number of submissions by NGOs.
The awards ceremony will be held in December 2013: a cash prize of Rs 100,000 by category and Rs 300,000 for NGOs with the best social project. In addition, Barclays is committed to provide support to the finalists in offering training in financial management and good governance.
The Barclays Bank undertakes to organize this competition every year. And to promote self-development NGOs in Mauritius and Rodrigues.
