The theme of the conference will be ‘Global Private Client Crossroads – Mauritius, Regional and Global Perspectives’.
It will involve the participation of around 15 speakers from South Africa, England, Dubai, Seychelles and Mauritius addressing finance and tax professionals.
During the two days of seminars, experts will speak on various issues such as the legal system, future of international financial centres in the light of G-20 forum and other international initiatives.
Discussions on these international initiatives using Mauritius for tax planning in the region and beyond, regional developments with particular focus on South Africa will be noted.
“STEP organises high level conferences for professionals across the world,” declared Assad Abdullatiff, chairman of STEP Mauritius.
The chairman also added, “These conferences act as important discussion forums on different aspects of the international tax law relating to trust, asset management, accounting and administration.”
“This conference aims to promote Mauritius as an international centre for high-level finance and regional centre of private wealth management,” added Abdullatiff.
