Several institutions in China and Malaysia will participate in the student lounge

The Overseas Education Centre organizes its Education Fair on Saturday and Sunday at the headquarters of the Mauritius Commercial Bank Sir William Newton Street, Port Louis, and Monday Talking Drum Restaurant Bagatelle. Forty international representatives participate in this annual event aimed at informing young people about the offers and costs several foreign universities.

"In a difficult economic and competitive hold a university degree is almost essential to find a job," says Dorish Chitson, Director of Overseas Education Centre (OVEC). The center, now in Mauritius for 12 years, helps young people in their career choices.

Dorish Chitson notes that studies abroad are very popular among Mauritians because they allow to incorporate prestigious schools of access to a wide range of courses and specializations, interact with other kids from different countries, to learn to fend for themselves and others. "This is not only a great university diploma that our young people want but also an opportunity to live a unique and rewarding experience," she says.

Salon OVEC the student wants and be a one-stop shop for study abroad. Information on universities and courses available, bank loans, student visas and other essential services are available. Will also be offered tickets at fixed prices, travel insurance and international student cards free thanks to a partnership with ATOM / STA and 50% discount on bank charges on loans through the MCB Campus.

This event, to be held Saturday and Sunday at the headquarters of the Mauritius Commercial Bank Sir William Newton Street, Port Louis, and Monday Talking Drum Restaurant Bagatelle, became a rendezvous in the landscape of tertiary education Maurice. "This is the first of its kind to be held in the luxurious and modern bank (note: MCB) which appears in the Top 1000 world," says Chitson. The animation will be provided by DJ Erwin who will also provide the public with USB, MP3 and MP4.

Representatives of universities prized by Mauritians participate once again in the Salon of the student. Are from the University of Nottingham (UK, Malaysia and China), Monash University (Australia), UWA (Singapore), Curtin University (Malaysia), Brunel, UCLAN and UH (UK), Humber, and FIC (ICM Canada), Nanjing Medical, South East, Jinan (China) and Swinburne (Malaysia). Institutions that will be their first participation are: Algonquin, UOIT, German-Malaysian institute and Expam representing more than 16 colleges in Malaysia.

Moreover, those who do not have the level required to enroll in the first year university will have the opportunity to make a "foundation" or a fast track diploma. Many of these institutions in the lounge also offer scholarships. Admission is free.
