“This is one of our objectives in the manifesto of the Mouvement Mauricien Social Démocrate (MMSD) at the last municipal election,” mayor of Curepipe, Mario Bienvenu, told The Independent.
In this context, a three-day career fair, in collaboration with the MMSD, was launched on Friday. More than 30 textile companies, BPOs, hospitality, telecommunications organisations, took part.
According to Bienvenu, career fairs are no longer just for the unemployed or people searching for jobs.
“Career fairs are important for all because they are a great way to network with local professionals, find ways to become more involved in your community, and to keep your options open,” he said.
