12 Highest Salaries: Rs 30 Million Per Month To 250 Officials

The State will pay each month starting in January, a whopping Rs 30 million for the salaries of 200 senior executives and fifty heads of parastatal bodies, excluding allowances and other remuneration they will receive.

30% on average. This is the rate of salary readjustment for senior officials and managers and General Managers of some other body parastatals. 12 categories of staff will receive wages of more than Rs 100,000. 

In honour with honour, we begin with the chief judge who remains the highest paid official of the Republic. His salary increased from Rs 150,000 to Rs 198,000 (+32%). It is followed closely by the Secretary to Cabinet and Head of Civil Service, whose salary increased from Rs 145,000 to Rs 192,000. Third, there is the Senior Puisne Judge who receive a wage increase of Rs 38,000. 

The fourth level of the hierarchy of the civil service, there are judges of the Supreme Court, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), the Solicitor General, the Financial Secretary, the Secretary for Home Affairs, the Foreign Secretary, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mauritius and the Director General of the University of Technology (UTM). Their salaries will be increased by 30% from Rs 120,000 to Rs 156,000. 

The club pay more than Rs 100,000 includes about 200 officials and fifty bodies responsible parastatals. With the implementation of the recommendations of the PRB, the State will pay Rs 30 million per month just for their salaries. Some of them receive more than Rs 250,000 per month, adding fees for serving on the boards of directors of state-owned companies. 

Smaller salaries 
A laborer who will touch Rs 9200 Rs 10364 Rs 11 in December and 250 in January 2013. The salary of a driver, currently at Rs 14,600, Rs 17,850 will be in January 2013. That of a vigil password Rs 12,300 to Rs 15,000. Other categories of employees, known as General Workers, will receive the following salaries: those who receive Rs 6425 Rs 7825 Rs and those who perceive win 6600 Rs 8050. An employee who gets Rs 6800 Rs 8275 will. And the levying Rs 7000 will be entitled to Rs 8500.

Rs 168,000: S enior Puisne Judge      

Rs 156,000: Puisne Judge; Director of Public Prosecutions; President Employment Relations Tribunal Secretary for Home Affairs, Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Financial Secretary, Solicitor General, Vice-Chancellor University of Mauritius, Director-General University of Technology 

Rs 144,000: Director of Audit, Electoral Commissioner, Senior Chief Executive, Commissioner of Police, Director, Procurement Policy Office, Executive Director Mauritius Research Council, Executive Director Tertiary Education Commission 

Rs 132 000: Master and Registrar, President Equal Opportunities Tribunal Vice-President Employment Relations Tribunal, Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Director-General, Office of Public Sector Governance; Deputy Financial Secretary, Chairperson, Assessment Review Committee, Registrar of Companies; Chairperson, Environment and Land Use Appeal Tribunal Chairperson, ICT Appeal Tribunal, Deputy Solicitor-General, Parliamentary Counsel, Director-General, Health Services 

Rs 114,000: Permanent Secretary, Secretary to the President, Secretary to the PSC; Deputy Master & Registrar, Clerk of the National Assembly, Accountant-General, Ambassador, High Commissioner, Permanent Representative

Rs 111 000 Director, Management Audit Bureau; Director, Office of Public Sector Governance, Chief State Attorney, Chief Legal Secretary, Commissioner of Prisons, Director, Economic and Finance, Director of Statistics, Vice-Chairperson, Environment and Land Use Appeal Tribunal , Deputy Chairperson, ICT Appeal Tribunal; Assistant Solicitor-General, Mauritius Oceanography Institute Director 

Rs 110,000: Director General Counter-Terrorism Centre, Industrial Court President, President Intermediate Court 

Rs 108,000: Director General (Public Utilities) Chief Technical Officer, ICT, General Manager Mahatma Gandhi Institute 

Rs 105,000: Manager, Hospital Services, Director, Health Services, Director, Non-Communicable Diseases and Health Promotion; Director Mauritius Institute of Training and Development, Chief Executive Officer Mauritius Cane Industry Authority, Director Cardiac Services
