International Book Fair: Confluence 2013

It is an initiative of the cell culture and future of Prime Minister's Office, in collaboration with the Department of Arts and Culture. This first edition aims to highlight the cultural diversity of Mauritius, and sensitize the nation to the book and its contribution to society and reading in all its forms.

"Confluence 2013 aims to meet Maurice, land confluences of cultures, writers from different backgrounds, countries of our ancestors. They bring the Mauritian literature major continents and come to discover the literary creation in Mauritius. Indeed, the Book Fair, Confluence 2013, will honor our land settlement: from Africa to Europe via India and China, is an invitation to travel through the suggested presence of authors, publishers, literary journalists and lovers of literature. Among the twenty foreign writers, there is Patrick Poivre d'Arvor, Jean Marie Cavada, Alain Mabanckou and a dozen other Mauritians such Maunick Edouard Jean Claude de l'Estrac, Ananda Devi, Nathacha Appanah between other. Lilian Thuram, a former international footballer, will also be present.

During this show, the audience will discover rare books and restarted, on this occasion, printers 19th century. It will also have the opportunity to attend readings by actress debates in the presence of forty international specialists Book, Book Trade, digital and print. It will also benefit from the presence of many foreign publishers and local. In addition, visitors will also see the launch of new books, exhibitions, meetings, lectures, workshops, book signings, a price Poetry Youth, musical interludes and commercial space for local authors who publish on behalf of authors.
