By itself, the Faculty Development and Tourism has 221 employees. A priori, the experience has little to teach. In one case, the faculty has a lawyer called to the Bar in England in 2001 and Mauritius in 2013.
School of Accounting, Finance and economy uses only nine people to teach courses part-time. Other faculties are shared 96 part-time lecturers. Again, the UTM uses graduates for one or two years to deliver these courses. This is what Defi Media journalists read in the documents tabled in the National Assembly by the Ministry of Higher Education this week.
Recruitment was done through advertisements in newspapers and on the Internet site of the UTM. It is from there that the UTM has established a list of part-time teachers. This is at least what was said by the Minister of Higher Education Rajesh Jeetah on June 16 in Parliament. This in response to a question from the member of the MSM, Mahen Seeruttun.
