The Mauritius Research Council (MRC) will organise a Research Alliance Meeting with researchers on March 31.
The meeting, which will host around 200 people, aims to familiarise researchers and other stakeholders with the various facilities offered by the MRC to stimulate and promote research and development activities in various fields like scientific, technological, social and economic development.
To reach as many people as possible, the MRC has tapped into its database which has been developed over the years and includes a list of researchers from different disciplines as well as creators and innovators. It also has the support of the Tertiary Education Commission for additional data.MRC officers will present plans and funding mechanisms during the event.
These instruments were developed and implemented by the MRC in order to encourage and support research and development and promote the commercial exploitation of results for national interest.
The meeting will be followed by a certificate awarding ceremony for people who participated in the writing workshops.
