Alert given to sharks in Sunday
The presence of three sharks was reported in the pass of the village on the West Coast to 11:30. Which caused a stir among the regulars.

After the meeting, it''s turn to face Maurice to the presence of sharks in the vicinity of one of its beaches. Three young sharks at least one meter in length have been reported in the waters of Albion to 11:30 by the Coast Guard on Sunday 16 October.

During a patrol in the perimeter between Club Med and the public beach that officers of the National Coast Guard (NCG) found the three sharks. They were in a pass near a landfill facing the Marine Research Centre of the town.

The Coast Guard has decided to call for caution to the public on site. Especially since the beaches are very popular with Mauritians who attend family.

Coast Guard and have walked the beach to ask parents to watch over their children. Themselves and not to venture from the breakers. However, there were hiccups, radios have been alerted as to 14 hours.

At Albion, an hour later, Devin, 32, demanded details on both coast guards who were going back and forth between Club Med and the public beach where their office.

"I asked them if the situation had returned to normal. We especially fear for the children. I heard the news on the radio, 'says the resident of Little River, a village on the other side of Albion.

It also reveals the presence of sharks in this part of the West Coast is not new. The open sea is just a stone's throw from the beach. "A month ago, a friend of my husband was fishing in the water when he saw a shark. What led him to return to the mainland, "said the mother.

John, fisherman Sunday, says that the presence of sharks in this area is not a surprise. He has all the same decided to launch its line remaining on the shore. Other fishermen themselves, grumble, saying that this alert does not reason.

Families on the beach on Sunday allowed the children to paddle in the water. Because in some places, the water does happen to them as calves. "There is little risk of a shark to come ashore," exclaimed an old lady.

For the NCG, it was necessary to put people to date. Especially with the attacks listed in the sister island during the course of the year. In September alone, the bodyboarder Matthew Schiller was the victim of a shark this week, the trunk of a woman was found at the entrance to the beach at La Possession and the autopsy revealed that the poor has been carved up by a shark.

This Sunday, the discussions on the beach of Albion turned on sharks and not the duel Manchester United / Liverpool and the opening of Parliament, football and politics are the two favorite topics of Mauritians.
