Under the agreement, Air France will offer daily flights operated by Air Mauritius on Air France flight number between the two airports in Reunion (Saint Denis and Saint-Pierre) and Mauritius.
"Air France and Air Mauritius have joined efforts to offer new travel opportunities combining these two islands Vanilla. In addition, Air France offers its customers the opportunity to earn Reunion miles between La Reunion and Mauritius " said Alain Malka, CEO Caribbean and Indian Ocean Air France KLM.
"This partnership is part of the agreement signed between the two companies in 2008, already allow Air Mauritius to add its code on Air France flights from Charles de Gaulle hub in mainland France and several destinations in Europe.This extension of the partnership now allows to increase the supply to Reunion and Mauritius to creating new opportunities through referrals via Mauritius and Reunion " said Indradev (Raja) Buton, Executive Vice President - Strategic Planning of Air Mauritius.
Air Mauritius offers up to seven-times daily flights from Mauritius to Reunion, airports Roland Garros and Pierrefonds. Air Mauritius, the national carrier of Mauritius, Air France and Mauritius jointly serve up to 18 flights per week peak from the airport in Paris - CDG terminal 2F. Air Mauritius offers up to 9 weekly flights by Airbus A340-300 Air France and operates up to 9 weekly flights in Boeing 747-400. Air France serves Reunion up to 12 weekly flights in Boeing 777-300ER peak departing from Paris-Orly.
