
500 Mauritian artists and fifty artists will participate in the international size of Carnival 'Vanilla Island' to be held on July 1 in Flic en Flac. This event comes within the framework of the Mauritius Shopping Fiesta 2012 organized by the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA).
A priority of this carnival will be to increase the international visibility and, at the same time, attract more tourists. It should be noted that on this occasion, several tanks of various hotels, tour operators and other hospitality companies will parade along the coastal road of Flic en Flac. The beauty queens of Mauritius, Reunion Island, England and Brazil are also present.
Musical diversity will also be celebrated on these tanks. Indeed, the public can enjoy a cocktail of different cultures: Indian dance, African, jazz and techno music program will be led about thirty Brazilian artists. It is also an opportunity for designers to display their various Mauritian creations on these tanks. This event will be coupled by fire eaters, jugglers and Disney characters who will offer breathtaking shows.
This carnival will also count on the support media of some fifty countries, namely France, India, Italy, China, Switzerland, South Africa, Australia, England, Spain or the island of Reunion.
