Miss Mauritius 2012: 13 Finalists
The vintage 2012 Miss Mauritius contest was officially launched on Monday 28 May, at a party at the Grand Bay Store (GBS) Plaza. They are 13 candidates vying for the title of which will represent Mauritius in international competitions.

They are aged between 17 and 23 years old, 1m63 and 1m75 are between, and share the same ambition: to win the title of Miss Mauritius 2012. The 13 finalists to succeed Ameeksha Dilchand were officially presented this Monday, May 28, facing the press, in Grand-Bay Store (GBS) Plaza.

The 13 finalists are: Jaimie Douce, Keshika Canaye, Yashi Gopal, Gwendolina Bernard, Rachel Olivier-Beekha, Devyadarshini Sungkur, Anael Christina Bussac, Shabnize Meerun, Diya Beeltah, Christabelle Papillon, Kelly Lachooa et Nathalie Lesage de même que Miss Rodrigues, Murielle Ravina.

Already invaded by the fear of competition, the competitors have not had an easy time during the evening presentation. Indeed, in turn, candidates had to scroll across the two escalators GBS, while remaining focused and smiling.

The grand finale will be held June 30 at J & J Auditorium in Phoenix. Until then, the agenda of the new competing for Miss Mauritius proves to be very busy: Miss Talking Drums, June 8, at Bagatelle Performing Arts Award, June 16, in Albion. As of Thursday, June 21, until July 1, finalists will be at the Sofitel Imperial, Flic en Flac, which will host the Miss Elegance, the Beach Beauty Award Sports Award followed.

Primrose Obeegadoo, Chair Miss Mauritius, said he largely satisfied with the composition of this wine in 2012. " We feel a commitment to our finalists , "she said. Despite the difficulties in finding partners, it was confident that this 43rd edition a success.

Jaimie Sweet, a finalist for the Miss Mauritius 2012, says he can not realize the magnitude of the competition. " At first I thought my size (1m63) would not play in my favor , "she concedes. If she wins the title, she is willing to work for the welfare of women. " I am not implying that women are inferior to men but we must all be equal , "she says.
