This project will promote the Mauritian culture, creating a new waterfront, build restaurants and retail space, recreational areas and sports.
There will thus create a boutique five-star, the rehabilitation of a lagoon, the creation of green spaces and a market, the construction of a jetty to allow motor boats and catamarans docking , the development of a business center. The construction of the first boarding school is also considered here. The project cost is estimated at over Rs 600 million. Azuri Village will be managed by the giant Thai Centara Hotels.
Boost job opportunities in the region
If all goes as planned, the project Azuri Village should start early next year for completion in October of that year. For now, the project sponsors, Upper Shore Holding Ltd. and Upper Shore Ltd. IRS, awaiting the government approval to start.
Moreover, they have already begun a series of consultations with residents and fishermen from the villages of Rocks -Black, Pointe Lascars and Riviere du Rampart. The diverse concentrations of activities, coupled with the year-round cultural calendar, enhance the experience and make it the focal point for an entire area ", said in the document submitted to the government.

Upper Shore Holding Ltd. was established to deal with real estate projects for Mauritians. This private company was incorporated under the "Companies Act" of 2001.
Haute Rive IRS Ltd takes care of hotel development projects and IRS. Both companies are entities of the Indian Ocean Real Estate Company (IOREC) and Flacq United Estates Ltd. The lands to be developed belonged to FUEL and IOREC.
