They were able to try three sports disciplines namely the judo, volleyball and archery.
The event was a joint collaboration between the British Council and the Ministry of Education and Human Resources for the ‘Connecting Classroom Project (CCP)’ which was launched in the schools in 2010 with objective to familiarise students with human values.
Representatives from different sports federations explained the rules of the games which the children were allowed to try after.
CCP Coordinator at Nandkishore Saddul GS Asif Khodaboccus stated,”The aim today is to promote a sport culture among students so that they are enthusiastic to practice it.”
CPE student at the Aryan Vedic, Darwin Vencachengum said that he was quite interested in judo and will try to excel in this discipline. “It is new to me, but it is fun,” he said.
