Internet: Where is Bharat Telecom?
The ISP Internet Bharat Telecom announced that the area would soon Beau-Bassin/Rose-Hill connected to their fiber optic network. Also, some are now wondering at what stage of completion is now the project. They can rest assured that the work started last November, are nearing completion.

Where is Bharat Telecom? This is the question facing many Mauritians since the last exercise of this communication to the ISP (ISP) or at the commercial launch of its "Bees" in the town of Quatre Bornes. The leaders of the new company had indeed announced that the next would Beau-Bassin/Rose-Hill connected to fiber optic network (Fibre to the Home - FTTH). Director of Bharat Telecom, Baljinder Sharma, light our lantern and ensures that the work started in November 2012. In addition, he said, the network optimization is in progress.

"Now that we have connected the town of Quatre Bornes our fiber optic network with the greatest success, the work will reach the other remaining cities and surrounding rural areas, to provide a wider range of services to Mauritians looking for the highest quality, "says Baljinder Sharma.

remember, it was in October 2012, five months late, that operator had launched its service in the City of Flowers. A delay which was then raised legitimate questions about the seriousness of the new operator. So here we are reassured. Bharat Telecom technicians also carry out the optimization of network "so that subscribers can soon benefit from a connection to the 'fiber power'," says Baljinder Sharma.

Following Cities Sisters, it would turn to Curepipe, Vacoas-Phoenix to and finally Port-Louis to be connected. Studies have already been undertaken, Baljinder Sharma reveals. However, no details have leaked on the date of completion of the work in these areas.

Another concern: the television. Announced a long time ago on bouquets "Bees", they are indeed still pending. According Baljinder Sharma, the IPTV service would aim phase and will be launched shortly, as soon as the authorities concerned have given their approval, of course. The channels available include Fuel TV especially for fans of combat sports, as well as MTV Base and NatGeo Wild.

offers the "Bees" includes two formulas: the package limited and unlimited plan. The first entry level offers a speed of 2 Mbps and a download volume of 3 Gb. Proposed Rs 280, however it will include the rental of Optibox and access fees CEB, or an amount of Rs 402 including VAT. In case of exceeding the bandwidth of the user will be reduced to 64 Kbps and 50 cents charged by the service provider. The offer unlimited, (code name: "Performance"), provides a speed of 2 Mbps at Rs 990 or Rs 1219 TTC, including the rental of Optibox and fees at CEB.

Asked about the number of customers, management did not want to reveal the figure "for privacy reasons", but is, however, indicates that hundreds of applications, on average, are processed each week.

But what about the quality of service? To believe Koormadu Govind, Head of "Sales and Marketing", the return is more favorable. A survey conducted in early January, also shows that 97% of subscribers are "satisfied." And the head of the operator added: "The result of the successful functioning of services. "

"In addition to this, the emergence of Smart TV and other touch tablets, as well as marketing applications increasingly intensive flows, has created a dynamic unalterable for connection to the Internet much more efficient. The optical fiber Bharat Telecom is part of this movement and provides significant improvements in terms of rates, "says Govind Koormadu. It is noteworthy that connection problems were raised by some customers Quatre-Bornes. But, in the direction of Bharat Telecom, the situation has been restored.

During the pre-launch, engineers have conducted a large number of highly sophisticated tests on the network for optimization, which had naturally caused some slowdowns. But the latter, said the director, however, were minor.
