HRDC: Launch of the Second Edition of the HR Excellence Awards

Registration for HR Excellence Awards 2013, the first edition had known success in 2011 can be as personnel (HR Professional Category) or the name of the company that represents the candidate (Organization Category). The HR Excellence Awards recognize and reward human resource professionals and companies who have Mauritian incorporate best practices in human resources development strategy. " Those Awards seek to give recognition to HR Professionals and organisations that have succeeded in reaching a high level of excellence in the field of human resource development and management, and to reward them for their commitment towards sound HR practices”, says Raj Auckloo Director the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC).

This contest is the first platform of its kind in Mauritius to promote and recognize excellence in the profession of human resources. The goal is to educate employers to rely more on the development of their employees, thereby strengthening the human resource management at the local level.

For the edition of 2013, HRDC offers new categories to target a wider range of participants. The competition is open to participants from government departments, parastatal bodies, private enterprises employing less than 50 persons, those with more than 50 employees, non-governmental organizations and businesses Rodrigues. Professionals will be judged for their development in the human resources research, their spirit of innovation within the company and their overall achievement in the development of human resources.

In the first edition, the HRDC had received 74 applications from organizations in Mauritius, four from Rodrigues. 16 HR professionals also participated in this contest.
