Floods: Port-Louis Accused The Government Of Covering Up The Channels Without Approval

The mayor of Port-Louis had strongly protested to the Ministry of the Environment in 1999 against the authorities' plans to cover several major canals of Port-Louis. On October 8, it had served a notice to the Central Tender Board and Ministry of the Environment to stop this project.
