Indian Oil Increases its Storage Capacity
Indian Oil Mauritius Ltd (IOML) is expanding. It has increased by 5,000 tons storage capacity of petroleum products Mer-Rouge. Construction vessels begin in the coming days and will be completed in the first quarter of next year. The IOML investment in this project is estimated at Rs 70 million .

These additional storage tanks welcome 3000 tons of aviation fuelJet A1 ) and 2000 tons of gasoline. Once construction is completed, the storage capacity of IOML increase to 28 600 tonnes.

Sales of Jet Al in volume terms fell by 10%. Air France and Emirates , for example, have resorted to more efficient aircraft in the use of Jet A1 . The number of arrivals had also declined. But it did not discourage investment in, because we have good reason to believe that consumption will rise this year with service to China by Air Mauritius , including "says Ranjan Mohapatra, CEO IOML. Among the airlines are currently supplied by IOML Air Mauritius , Air France and Air Austral .

IOML account also contribute up to Rs 90 million to the project of strategic storage of petrol Red Sea in a joint venture with other operators in the oil industry. " The  discussions between the parties  concerned have reached a stage  advanced. Pending the achievement  of the joint project of all  the oil industry, we will  build our own tanks storing additional fuel  to support the needs  of the country and avoid  stock-out , "said Ranjan Mohapatra.

IOML, with 23% market share for all products, plans to increase to four the number of stations.By the end of next year it will increase to 22. According to the initial project IOML will eventually be in three years, 25 stations in total.

Other project: installation of a pipeline (pipeline) between Port Louis and Plaisance airport to transport petroleum products. It is argued that it will be better than carrying petroleum products tankers. It will also be beneficial for the environment because it will reduce congestion.

I know there are some difficulties, which include, for example, the layout of such a pipeline .IndianOil has installed more than 4500 km pipeline in India. We have experience in this field. We are willing to be the spearhead such a project , "said Ranjan Mohapatra. Another problem to solve for the investment in the pipeline, estimated at Rs 700 million. Its implementation will require the participation of all partners.

IndianOil is India with 24 000 outlets, 170 terminals ( OilTerminals ) and 140 gas bottling centers household.
