Operations 'Crackdown' against Illegal Fishing
Those who plunder our lagoons have to behave themselves. The Ministry of Fisheries has started operations 'crackdown' in the four corners of the island to ensure that our fisheries are sustainably managed.

The guardians of the Ministry of Fisheries still hit hard against fraudsters this month. They set up 105 tickets for the looting of our lagoons.

During these operations, the guardians got their hands on an arsenal of equipment used by fraudsters to indulge in poaching. Thus, 3,331 meters of nets were seized by agents of the sea They also recovered subsea equipment including 26 pairs of flippers, goggles 26, 26 tubas, 6 spear guns and seven harpoons, among other . They also seized the boat and outboard poachers and their illegal catches, consisting of 556 fish. Guards fisheries continue these operations to block the road to those who plunder our lagoon.

Protecting our lagoon is essential if we are to ensure the country's food security. The mission of the agents of the Ministry of Fisheries is to ensure that this resource is exploited effectively.
