Increased tension among employees of the National Transport Company (NTC). The Council of Ministers this Friday, June 28 overturned the decision of the National Transport Authority (NTA) to appoint new lines to the NTC. That, whereas at the beginning of the week, it announced that the lines 141, 122, 6, 197, 52 and 27 would be allocated to private operators due to a lack of buses.But now a little over 24 hours later, after the NTA reversed this decision, this time it is the Cabinet which was made to cancel the reverse. Only the line 141 will return to the NTC. The Minister of Public Infrastructure intends to give a press conference in the late afternoon to explain the decision.
However, the authorities seem to have capitulated after the strike of workers of the NTC Wednesday, June 26. A day later, the NTC had regained full control lines entrusted to private operators.
