These special examinations to be held on December 20, 2000 concern about candidates who are successful generally not in the four subjects of the CPE exam.
This initiative will allow students who have failed in a matter of catching up and not lose a year. Success in four subjects is the minimum to get the CPE and to make its entry into secondary school. Note that some students fail examinations of the CPE, mainly because of a sudden illness. The idea is to avoid stress to the students who need to retake the exam again.
The Mauritius Examinations Syndicate (MES) has already made the necessary arrangements for these tests a second chance. In case of failure in one "core subject" the child will necessarily matter at this board exams second chance.
