Facilitate the recognition of qualifications between Mauritius and India. Such is the aim of an agreement signed between the Association of Indian Universities (AUI) and the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC). The agreement provides, among other things, that these two institutions make available information on each of the recognized institutions in their countries.
500 higher education institutions are affiliated to the AUI. This body assesses the course syllabus and standards of foreign universities and ensures equivalence with the courses offered by Indian universities. Through this agreement, the TEC and AUI will thus called upon to better collaborate while following the rules and procedures of the respective countries and to disseminate information on tertiary institutions will recognized, says the Council of Ministers on Friday November 29.
