Mystery Around Dead Fish in Case-Noyale

There were dozens of dead fish littering the beach Case-Noyale. A sad spectacle that has angered villagers, Friday, Feb. 7. Two hypotheses are favoured to explain the death of the fish.

Some villagers believe that this would be the work of fishermen who have abandoned after being caught illegally, for fear of being arrested by the guardians. They exercise, in fact, increased surveillance in the region before the official opening of the seine, March 3. "We suspect that when the fishermen were told they were being watched, they preferred to throw the fish at sea, " said a fisherman in the guise of anonymity.

However, other villagers, including Karl Lamarque, spokesman for the Federation of Pleasure Craft Operators are of the opinion that coastal pollution is the cause of death of these fish. Karl Lamarque denounces sewage, garbage, motor oil vessels which are discharged into the sea

Asked the Minister of Fisheries Nicolas Von-Mally, said an investigation will be opened.
