They revolted. Employees of a hotel in Belle Mare decided to do a sit-in on Thursday 13 February. The reason: they rise against unfair and that the dismissal of an employee by the Human Resources Manager language.
" Employees had already filed a complaint at the police station of Belle Mare to report the abusive language used by the Head of Human Resources last week. But it did nothing , "says Atma Shanto, president of the Federation of United Workers (FTU).
And add that yesterday, Wednesday, February 12, " the human resources manager of the hotel delivered a letter of dismissal to a Floor Manager, without explaining the reasons for his dismissal. He then made it clear that more layoffs would follow thereafter . "
Atma Shanto said his union supports the efforts of the employees of this hotel and it has also alerted the Ministry of Labour to face this case. Especially as threats of dismissal would be recurring, the union added.
