TA: "Many Nightclubs Operate Illegally"
The Tourism Authority (TA) has decided to take the bull by the horns. Thus, this organization is responsible for granting licenses to clubs and private clubs finds that many of them do not respect the law.

Since the beginning of the year, several nightclubs and private clubs have been visited by officers of the TA. Someone close to the matter said that some owners of private clubs operate as a nightclub, but they pay only Rs 8,000 to local authorities while the license to operate a nightclub costs Rs 50,000.

These private clubs do not meet the hours of operation, selling alcohol and playing music in the background decibels. BP said that private clubs must meet the standards inherent in their status. For a private club, a bar and a restaurant are governed by different regulations.

Nightclubs and private clubs should follow the appropriate guidelines. It is the demarcation of positions in designated tourist areas, shopping centers or business areas and outside of an appropriate radius of residential areas and a place of worship (400 meters for boxes night and 200 meters for private clubs).

According to a senior TA, the owners of companies that do not comply with the law will be fined and their license will be revoked.
