These funds will be disbursed from this month until June 2018, should enable the government to finance various projects related to sustainable development, is it said in a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance on Thursday, July 3.
Three main areas of development will be affected: Rs 154 million will go to projects related to climate change (energy, transport, planning land use), Rs 163 projects biodiversity conservation, and Rs 28 million to those related to land degradation (erosion problems, etc.).
The Ministry of Finance will be responsible for coordinating the various stakeholders and to ensure that projects are carried out within the time allowed.
