The programme was orgnanised in partnership with Costa Cruises, the largest Italian tourism group which is also the leading group in Europe.
“I am very proud that Atom Travel has received such an award,” said Caroline Chen, director of Atom Travel Chen added, “It is very encouraging to receive the first prize in terms of Costa sales products. I am living a dream. I share this award with my team because it is truly a team effort which got us this award.”
Chen underlined that Atom Travel Service managed to outperform other agencies by selling more Costa tickets.
She reiterated that the agency would continue its work and aspire to do even better this year.
At least 1,500 travel professionals from Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania were present at the event which was held for five days. In addition to the prices, travel agents were also given an overview of the latest innovations on Costa Cruises.
Emphasis will be laid on Costa Fascinosa, the new flagship of the fleet and a sister ship of Costa Favolosa. Currently under construction in Marghera, Costa Fascinosa will be operational in spring of 2012 and become the fifth new Costa ship to be delivered in less than three years.
During the winter season of 2010-11, the Costa Pacifica will offer cruises of 11 days to Egypt, Israel and Turkey with departures from Civitavecchia and Savona.
