Creative Masters Tour, a two-day workshop on multimedia creativity, will be held on August 23 and 24 under a dome built exclusively for this purpose at Trianon.
This was announced on Thursday by Nicolas Le Maire, director of Maurisoft, during a press conference held at its headquarters in Phoenix.
The workshop will have key speakers like Mohammed Jogie, director of South Africa-based Morning Star Design, Lisa Taylor, colour consultant at the Natural Colour System Company and Harry Ravelomanantsoa, head of sales for Toon Boom Animation in the Africa / Indian Ocean region.
The Toon Boom animation software is expected to be the highlight of the workshop, as it will be introduced in Mauritius for the first time.
The forum will also focus on software like Adobe CS5.5, Photoshop, Indesign, Acrobat X, Dreamweaver, Woodwing, Fotoware, Wacom, Maya, 3DS Max and Artray. “We are targeting designers, art directors, video professionals, architects, advertisers, printers, agencies and publishers. The workshop is however open to anyone who is interested in multimedia. Previous experience in the field is not required,” added Le Maire.
The tickets are priced at Rs 25,000 for the two days. Members of the Adobe network (owners of genuine Adobe licenses) however, get a discount of Rs 4,000. Maurisoft is offering attractive packages for group registrations and students will be given discounts.
