To make people aware and make the best use of water resources, especially in the corporate sector, Dr Revin Panray Beeharry will be conducting a one day workshop titled Water Footprint Workshop on July 27 at the Conference Room in Gymkhana, Vacoas, from 10 am to 4 pm.
The workshop mainly aims help CEOs, business leaders, managers, consultants among others to explore the terminology, methodology, calculation procedures and analyses of findings to help businesses help re-align their water consumption strategies by focusing on their supply chains to effectively to achieve significant reduction in their water footprints.
Course fees are Rs 5,000 per participant.
Water footprint of a business is measured taken into account two factors the company’s operations and its supply chain.
The first measures the amount of freshwater used within the business itself, while supply chain refers to the indirect freshwater use the water used to produce all the goods and services that form the input to a business. A water footprint has three components blue, green and grey.
In business, water neutrality is used as a tool to reduce, offset the social and environmental impacts of a company’s water footprint.
So, professionals will get an opportunity to learn and reduce their water footprints.
