Mobile Chili Reviewing Its Billing Down

Calls Rs 1.15 per minute to all operators. Mahanagar Telecom Mauritius Limited (MTML) promises 60% savings on the mobile bill customers. The new concept has been launched this Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at the Hotel Labourdonnais in Port Louis.

Thanks to its GSM network, Chili, MTML wishes compete Orange and Emtel offering a rate of"25% cheaper" than the prices on the market. MTML offers a uniform plan with a call for half price, or Rs 1.15 per minute to all operators cost. The price of SMS has also been lowered. It goes from 70 cents to 50 cents.

According to the mobile operator, other innovations are expected in the near future. However, the big problem is the portability of mobile phone numbers should boost competition without users having to change the number.

The ICT Minister Tassarajen Chedumbrum Pillay, guest of honor, said the request is justified MTML. The Information and Communications Technologies Act (ICTA), absent from the commercial launch will need to address this issue.
