Developed and implemented by the State Informatics Limited (SIL), will automate/computerise many processes in the Mauritius Police Force. This system will eventually connect all police stations to a huge network across the island.

The first phase of the Crime Occurrence Tracking System (COTS), which will automate/computerise many processes in the Mauritius Police Force, is nearing completion.

The first phase, costing Rs23 million has already been installed and the SIL is now proceeding to the tests where the system is being tried by officers at three police stations – Pope Hennessy in Port Louis, the Rose Hill police station and the Black River station.

COTS will connect all the police stations across the island via a network during its second phase and will be ready by 2012.
