Mauritius' central bank said on Wednesday it would list 10 million rupees ($346,000) worth of 364-day Treasury Bills on the stock exchange from March 14

The bank said in a statement purchases on the stock exchange will be restricted to Mauritian citizens and limited to a maximum of 20 units per order.

Mauritius is mulling a cap on how much commercial banks can hold in Treasury bills to encourage them to lend to companies and households instead.

The central bank raised banks' reserve requirements to 7 percent from 6 percent last month, citing the need to tackle excess liquidity.
