Mauritius Exports Expected to Increase 7%

Mauritius’s manufactured goods exports will probably increase about 7 percent a year to reach 50 billion rupees ($1.76 million) in 2013, Commerce and Industry Minister Showkutally Soodhun said.

Soodhun was speaking today at the annual general meeting of the Mauritius Export Association in Port Louis, the capital. The Indian Ocean island nation’s exports stood at 39.8 billion rupees in 2010, according to its statistics agency.
