Mauritius to import 6000 tonnes of rice

Mauritius' state purchasing agency is in talks with bidders in a tender to buy 6,000 tonnes of white rice, European traders said on Tuesday.

Long grain or long shaped rice was sought for shipment from June to September.

The tender closed on Friday but no purchase is believed to have yet been made, traders said
