Mauritius is the 3rd among African Countries by FDI
In a study conducted by FDI Publication Magazine, Mauritius has been ranked third among African Countries for 2011-2012. Morocco has bagged the first place followed by South Africa.
Morocco reached the top due to the various strategies implemented to attract foreign direct investment(FDI).
Mauritius has moved up by one place; last year it was ranked fourth. Mauritius was awarded first place in the category of better quality of life in Africa. It held the fourth place in this category in 2009-10.
Concerning the level of infrastructure in African countries, Mauritius is ranked ninth.
Morocco topped the list in this category as well.
In the category of best business friendly countries, Mauritius is at the fifth position, while Reunion island holds first place.
