Through this, citizens can order secondary school textbooks from Form 1 to Form VI at any of the 112 post offices across the island.
The service is offered by the Mauritius Post, in collaboration with Antara Bookshop located in Rose Hill.
Within 48 hours of orders being placed, Mauritius Post will find the books and the parents can come and collect them. This service is offered free of charge to students.
Roshan Soomoodra, brand communication officer at Mauritius Post said, “The proceedings are simple. The student or the parents must go to the nearest post office with the official list of textbooks received from the school. The post office will get these for the students or parents within 48 hours.”
The brand communication officer explained, “At the post office, a form will be provided and the parents or students will have to fill the contact details and deposit Rs 200 to confirm the order.”
Soomoodra further explained, “ This amount will be deducted from the total value of the order.”
The customer service of Antara Bookshop will call the person if any clarifications are needed with regards to the order.
After paying bill is paid by customers, the books will be delivered in a sealed pack at the post office where the order was placed.
