The Flacq Shopping Mall will be operational in September 2012. This ‘high standard’ mall covers an area of 13,600 m2, with a parking space for more than 300 cars, over 90 stores and also a ‘food court’, on a 5 acres plot.
Several tenants are already at work, on the site for the development of their premises. “Actually, the commercial spaces are full at 90%. The mall will be operational in September and we are now proud to observe that the work will end in time enabling the Flacq Shopping Mall to be functional in four months,’ said Rudi Goorwappa, promoter of this ‘high-standard’ mall.
The project has been extended to 3 600m2, accommodating the Winners supermarket, 1 900 m2, State Bank of Mauritius, which will now have its new branch at Flacq, on a 700m2 area, as well as 25 new spaces for trade.
‘The extension work of our project is already in progress and is growing rapidly. We are confident that this part will be completed in time and will be accessible in November. I must highlight that this new wing of Flacq Shopping Mall is the result of a growing demand from entrepreneurs and traders,’ added Rudi Goorwappa.
Mr Goorwappa pointed out that once operational, the shopping mall will accommodate 500 jobs in in November.
‘Flacq will henceforth have its shopping center, which is modern and secure. This is a place where inhabitants of the region and surrounding areas will be able to shop in peace, eat at ease or simply do ‘window shopping’, says the promoter. Around forty surveillance cameras will be installed all over the shopping center.
Visitors can also enjoy free WIFI access in the premises of the Flacq Shopping Mall.
We will also find some of the country’s indigenous plants in the green spaces of the mall.
Book Court, Mado Parfums, Une Histoire d’Amour, Arrow, Split, Tulsidas, Leal Informatics, Much Better Life (MBL), Dragon Electronics, Taste of Asia, Barcelos, Winners, Mathieu Opticians and Gaya Opticians are among the renters of Flacq Shopping Mall. A Spa and hairdressing salon will also be accommodated. Negotiations are currently in progress for the setting up of a fully equipped modern health center.
