Hardwares Point Invests Rs 40 Million In A New Production Unit

Hardwares Point Limited has launched yesterday its new range of PVC products. The company which has just invested Rs 40 Million in a production unit will now proceed in a re-branding.

Located in Curepipe, Hardwares Point specialises in the import and distribution of “hardwares” locally and in regional markets since 2007. It now launches in the development, production and distribution of PVC products.

More than Rs 40 Million invested

Hardware Point has invested more than Rs 40 Million in a new modern production unit at Baie-du-Tombeau.

“Our machines are in test mode since some months” Rakesh Dinnoo, the Director of the company said. All the tests are positive. Our pipes and Polythene accessories have obtained the ISO 4427 certification. This is an excellent start and we will get more certifications soon.

The expansion is mainly due to the regional market. The company already exports to Reunion Island, Madagascar and Seychelles. The government has also helped in the development of Hardwares Point Limited.

The company has obtained funds from the SME Partnership Fund and the Mauritius Business Growth Scheme.
