SMEs In Red: 200 Employees On Street
200! This is the number of employees who have lost their jobs since the beginning of the year. These are mainly small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) dismissing. There are downsizing almost every day. SMEs prefer to fire their employees not to take too much risk.

"We do not know what to expect in the coming months. If, at the beginning of the year, an SME employing 10 to 15 people, now this figure has been reduced by half. The industry is in a very complicated situation. A meeting is scheduled soon and it is from here that solutions will be found, "said Amar Deerpalsing, president of the Federation of SMEs, to Le Matinal.

Impacts of the crisis in Europe affect us already. "Europeans consume less and we have to face fierce competition from Asian countries. We become more vulnerable. All economic actors agree that a difficult situation ahead but nobody wants to propose a solution. The situation is not brilliant, "he added.

All operators who work with the hospitality industry suffer. "Some restaurants have closed recently. Textiles and jewelery suffer even more. We already have a problem with the tourist arrivals and they prefer bungalows and boutique hotels. But as those suffering as they prefer to dismiss, "stated Amar Deerpalsing. He said companies could not recover from the crisis and that there is uncertainty in the market. There was a financial crisis and a crisis of the euro and now we hear that will undergo a "Double Dip". Maybe the recovery will be very slow, he said.
