Internet’s Rate: Entry-Level Package Prices Passes
The rate of internet is experiencing a significant drop from today. Offers basic input for ADSL connection goes to Rs 200. All telecom operators have to apply this measure announced in the 2013 budget last November.

The Information Communication and Technologies Authority (ICTA) has issued guidelines, in early January for the implementation of this measure. But the implementation was delayed with consultations and proposals phone operators.

Mauritius Telecom offers through Orange ADSL Basic Rs 349 and it will go to Rs 200 from Tuesday. Connection speed to 256 Megabytes per second (Mbps), with a download limit of at least 3 gigabytes (GB).

The other three operators or Emtel MTML and Bharat Telecom has not yet disclosed the price to be charged with the entry into force of this budget measure. however, offers a package MTML Basic Rs 299 per month for 1 gigabyte ( GB) of data.
