Floods: The Department Recommends Parents Do Not Send Children to School

" Following the heavy rains of the last 24 hours and accumulations of water in some areas of the island, it is strongly recommended that parents keep children at home. Because, according to weather forecasts, there may be very heavy rain in the country. This may cause difficulties during the journey from home to school , "wrote the Ministry of Education.

The statement noted, however, that schools stay open and " principals and staff will be present . " According to the Ministry of Education " forced leave will be considered and remedial courses will be held as soon as possible . "
