New Government Website Operational Today

Finite failures and slow loading. The government website, www.gov.mu , has been completely redone and will be deployed today. An operation that required an investment of around Rs 50 million.
This "new" site aims to be a one stop shop. It will provide access to all other sites of ministries and government departments.
Including small entrepreneurs can fill out a form online through the aid agencies of the State. It will also be possible to make a request for a personalized license plate through the site. The system will, for example, if the number chosen is already taken or not.
More than fifty of services will be offered online, such as weather and currency converter.
Several departments of the ministries also offer online payments through Internet Banking and Mobile Banking. Mauritians can make payments by bank transfer to the National Transport Authority, for example.
