CPE 2013: Begin Tuesday, October 22

The exam schedule for the Certificate of Primary Education (CPE), will run from October 22 to 25, 2013, announced the Ministry of Education on Monday, July 8.

Things are getting serious for the students at the end of primary school. This year, they will be about 25 000 candidates to take part in the CPE exams.

French tests will kick off Tuesday, October 22 at 9 am, followed by science on the same day at noon.

Wednesday, October 23 will be dedicated solely to English. The history & geography and oriental languages exams, they are held on Thursday 24. Candidates will complete the mathematics paper on October 25.

New: students who fail in one subject will have the opportunity this year to the board in December. This is not to lose a school year.

Last year there were more than 18,000 students to pass the CPE examination. The success rate was 76.44%.
