Port Louis Exports Gas to the Countries of the Indian Ocean

It is the firm General Construction Ltd, which had the task to make appropriate facilities on the ground and landed three giant tanks. To install these tanks had to build three bases that General Construction Ltd. has built. A control room has also been set up.

The project proponent is none other than Petredec, which invested about $ 33 million. This project is part of the movement to transform into a free port "petroleum hub" for the region of the Indian Ocean.
Stock of the day, the storage capacity of the liquefied petroleum gas in the country is more than 5000 tons. The country consumes between 65 000 and 67 000 tonnes of LPG.

The arrival of this operator can thus be beneficial for the supply of LPG to the country, thus overcoming any possible shortage.

If all goes as planned, thousands of tonnes of LPG should be channeled through Port Louis before being exported to the neighboring islands.

This is why the export LPG from Mauritius to neighboring islands will benefit the countries of the region. Petredec plans to use a gas to transport gas in Mauritius.

If all goes as planned the first shipments of gas will be exported from Mauritius to other countries in the Indian Ocean by the end of the year.
